The Wireless Enhanced Displacement Gauge IoT SenSpot™ offers a versatile, scalable, and cost-effective solution for distributed structural integrity monitoring. This wireless displacement IoT sensor is designed to measure two separate displacement gauges and monitor the progress of existing cracks in structures. It features a sliding element that moves with the displacement of the structure or the growth of a crack.
The displacement SenSpot™ comes with an IP67-rated transducer from Novotechnik, known for its high-quality products. It can also be customized to work with transducers from third-party manufacturers such as OMEGA or Vishay.
The device includes a high-capacity lithium-ion battery charged by a solar panel, eliminating the need for battery replacement and ensuring maintenance-free operation. With an IP68 weatherproof rating, it is ideal for outdoor and hard-to-reach locations.
This stand-alone wireless displacement IoT gauge requires only a Nano SIM card with an active 4G LTE plan to periodically connect to a remote server and transmit data without the need for an additional gateway. Its lightweight design and easy mounting options (flange or adhesive) allow for quick and minimal-effort installation on critical spots of a structure. Utilizing Resensys proprietary wireless technology, the SenSpot™ provides high-performance, large-scale sensing, wireless synchronization, and ultra-energy efficient communication.

The Resensys Wireless SenSpot™ Displacement IoT Sensor is a stand-alone, ultra-low-power device that measures movement or positional change between two points on a structure. It records displacement on one or two independent channels down to 0.1 mm resolution and uploads the data wirelessly to a remote server for real-time analysis.
A Wireless SenSpot™ displacement sensor uses a linear displacement meter with a sliding element that moves as the structure deforms or a crack widens. The device converts this motion into a precise distance measurement, stores it, and sends the readings over a cellular link to a remote server for continuous monitoring.
Wireless SenSpot™ displacement sensors are used for bridge health monitoring, tracking bridge bearings and expansion joints, measuring crack width on structures, and monitoring timber structures and bridges. No. The Wireless SenSpot™ Displacement IoT Sensor is completely stand-alone. It uses an LTE-M/NB-IoT cellular connection (via a Nano SIM with an active 4G LTE plan) to upload data directly to the remote server, with no separate gateway. Removing the gateway lowers project cost, especially for small deployments of only a few sensors.
