SenSpot™ provides an easy to install, scalable solution for distributed structural integrity monitoring. SenSpot™ Temperature Sensor uses Resensys’s proprietary technology for reliable and accurate measurement, large-scale sensing, wireless synchronization and ultra energy-efficient wireless communication.
SenSpot™ is designed to operate maintenance-free for more than a decade. After installation, SenSpot™ does not need calibration, battery replacement, or any other maintenance for at least 10 years. Due to small size and lightweight, SenSpot™ sensors can be applied easily to as many critical spots on a structure as needed, with minimal installation effort.
Temperature SenSpot™ can be used to monitor temperature on structural elements of bridges, buildings, etc.

The Resensys Wireless SenSpot™ 4-Channel Temperature Sensor is a single, ultra-low-power wireless node that measures temperature at up to four independent points at once. Each channel connects to an external probe; the SenSpot digitizes the readings at 0.1 °C resolution and transmits them wirelessly for remote analysis and long-term environmental tracking.
The four channels on a Wireless SenSpot™ node connect to four temperature probes, each placed at a specific location. The SenSpot samples all channels synchronously, converts the readings to engineering units, and sends the data over an IEEE 802.15.4 wireless link to a SeniMax gateway, which forwards it to the Resensys SenScope platform for real-time monitoring.
Wireless SenSpot™ temperature sensors are used for concrete and steel temperature monitoring, outdoor ambient monitoring, and structural elements of bridges, buildings, and similar infrastructure. They also reveal temperature gradients across a structure. A typical bridge application is measuring the temperature difference between girders exposed to direct sunlight and those in permanent shade — a difference that can exceed 40 °F (22 °C) and produce significant thermal strain.
A single 4-channel Wireless SenSpot™ measures four temperature points with one wireless node, one battery, and one radio link, using synchronized multi-channel sensing. This reduces node count and makes it easy to capture temperature distribution or through-depth thermal gradients across a girder, deck, or structural member.
